The ELITE XTS has the capability to use GNS 530 GPS externally when some requirements are met.
- You have an external GNS device (simulated).
- Your GNS screen is working in Windows.
- The ELITE software has selected a monitor defined for the GNS (photo 1 illustrates the GPS for Monitor1)
- The aircraft has been selected for 2nd screen GNS (photo 2 the Seneca has the GPS selected for 2nd panel GNS)
After these steps are in place, here are the keystrokes to align the GNS to fit in the monitor of the GPS:
F11 Holding for 5 sec. starts edit mode
F9 Save settings and leave edit mode
F10 Cancel edit mode without saving
F1 Scale factor change -5%
F2 Scale factor change +5%
F3 Scale factor change -1%
F4 Scale factor change +1%
F5 X axis: move GPS panel 1 pixel to the left
F6 X axis: move GPS panel 1 pixel to the right
F7 Y axis: move GPS panel 1 pixel to the up
F8 Y axis: move GPS panel 1 pixel to the down
